Becoming a Volunteer at The Imaginarium!

Planning and Scheduling Your Training
Our recruitments and trainings for volunteers occur tri-annually, in the fall, winter and spring. The first month of each trimester (September, January, and May) we will feature a Parent & Child Info Night. The second month of each trimester (October, February, and June) the 3 required trainings will be offered. The third and fourth months will feature optional trainings.

Parent & Child Info Night
Join us for a short introduction to The Imaginarium's Science Guide Volunteer Program. You will learn about becoming a volunteer and have an opportunity to sign up for trainings. Submit a Science Guide Volunteer Application and sign up for this event by emailing trainings@imaginarium.org.

Thursday, September 4, 6-7:30 pm

Trainings
The following trainings will help new recruits to gain specific knowledge and build the skills needed to support The Imaginarium's public presentations (aka "demonstrations" or "demos"). Through these demonstrations, which are 15-20 minutes in length, our volunteers and educators share their excitement in the world around us and spark the curiosity and interest in our visitors, be they young or old. Let us show you a vast and complex topic and simplified it into basic principles - you can help others understand how stuff works too!
